Our Location:
Our home base is located at 1206 Marina Bay Drive in Clear Lake Shores, Texas. We occupy the entire property housing our Shop, Shipyard and Service facility, plus Parts, Inventory, Yacht Sales and Marketing staff. We are strategically located to capitalize on easy access to all of the major marinas around Clear Lake, as well as most of our local vendors. Based on the South side of Clear Lake also makes for a quicker commute to our customers in the Galveston and surrounding areas. Visitors are always welcome to stop in and say hello and take a tour of our operation! We take great pride in the cleanliness and organization of our buildings, right down to the painted floors. We feel professionalism should permeate all parts of an organization, and how we keep our Shop and Parts Warehouse is a direct indication of how we will care for your boat.
The Work We Do:
Our services include a full service shipyard, marina and dockside services. This includes a full range of yacht support services, as well as dockside preventive maintenance, skilled troubleshooting & repairs, and equipment upgrades and installations. Our Service Department team performs most types of mechanical, electrical, electronic, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, hydraulic, and steering system work. We do new equipment and system installations and upgrades, in addition to troubleshooting and repair of existing components. We concentrate heavily on professional development and certifications for our technicians and staff in order to insure qualified techs are aboard your vessel. This includes ABYC, NMEA and manufacturer-specific training and certifications.
Where We Work:
True North Marine has been specializing in Dockside Yacht Service and Support since 2003. Currently, most of our services are performed in one of the many marinas located in and around the Clear Lake, Texas area, adjacent to Galveston Bay. We also provide remote services to travelling customers up and down the Texas and Western Louisiana coast in places like Galveston, Freeport, Lake Charles, Morgan City, Port Aransas, Beaumont, and Port Arthur. Our expertise has been requested as far away as Key West and parts of Mexico and Columbia. True North technicians operate out of company vehicles that are professionally equipped, stocked, and supported to work productively at your vessel’s location. If your boat is located outside our normal work radius, consider transporting it here if larger projects or refits are in your plans. We would be happy to help with arrangements required to make this happen!
The Boats We Service:
We primarily service vessels from 30 to 75 feet, but we have the knowledge and expertise on staff to meet the needs of just about any customer. While we have developed an extensive knowledge base dealing with more popular production vessels such as Sea Ray, Carver, Catalina, Beneteau, Azimut, Hatteras, Lagoon, Meridian, etc. etc., we also have the versatility to apply our knowledge to most any sailboat or power/motor yacht. As our work is highly specialized, our forte is learning your boat and its systems – from bow to stern. We also service commercial vessels, dinner cruise, and charter fleet boats. Our customers own all types of vessels, including cruising sailboats, trawlers, express cruisers, motor yachts, sport fishers, racing sailboats, sail & power catamarans, and fishing vessels.
